Mrs Kirby - EYFS support & ELSA
I have been at Sharnford Primary since 2016 and feel so lucky to be part of our inclusive school community. My role is varied in that I work in EYFS for 2 days a week and 1 day supporting children with intervention. I also have the role of ELSA (Emotional Learning Support Assistant) and Communication Champion where I am able to work with children across the school in small group sessions or on a 1:1 focusing on behaviour, friendships, confidence, attachment and emotional well-being in addition to supporting their learning, a role which I love!
I have a passion for PE and am often involved with sporting events within the school, supporting sessions and lunch time and afternoon clubs including coaching our school football team. Prior to joining Sharnford, I had roles in Health, Social care and educational settings.
Outside of school I am a mum of two boys, we have a passion for sport as a family and spend much of our time playing or watching sport (particularly Leicester City). I love to run (very slowly) and enjoy spending time with friends, family and walking our two dogs. I love reading, cooking, holidays, animals and spending time in the garden.
