I have enjoyed working within child and young people focused roles throughout my working life both within the NHS and the Education sector.
I thoroughly enjoyed volunteering at my children’s primary school which involved supporting pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2, which encouraged me to study to become a Learning Support Assistant.
I have worked at two primary schools prior to joining the fabulous team here. I now provide classroom support to Miss Ward and her year 1 and 2 pupils, supporting the children in whole class activities, and both one to one and small intervention groups as needed. I support Miss Hector and Mrs Wright in EYFS as required and cover lunch time duty every day.
I was invited to become a Parent Governor at a local High School which led to 3 happy years being part of the team, and I was particularly involved with Curriculum Data and subject content.
I love my job, and I glean immense pleasure from seeing the children flourish and become more confident both in themselves, and their schoolwork with the right words of encouragement and patience.
Out of school, I love spending time with my family and walking our beautiful Labrador. My hobbies include sewing, cooking, travelling, reading, and theatre.
