As part of our weekly homework, we ask children to read at least three times a week, practise their times tables on TTRockstars and complete their spelling sheet.

Literacy Task

We are going to think about how we perform poetry.

Read the poem above.

This type of poem is called a sonnet. 

Think about the following:

• What actions could you use when reading the poem?
• How could you change your voice during different parts of the poem?
• What facial expressions could you use during the poem?
• What expression could you add to certain words in the poem?

We are going to share our ideas in class next Friday!

You do not need to memorise the poem.
