Welcome to our Holly Class page!

The children are taught by ourselves (Miss Hector and Mrs Wright) and we have superb classroom support provided in and out of class by Mrs Hobbs, Mrs Short, Mrs Hopkins and Mr Wright.

Our priority is to provide a rich and exciting curriculum which ensures children are enthusiastic learners. We place a high emphasis on the value of reading, and with each child's education being a partnership between school and home, your support in this aspect, and when completing homework tasks, is invaluable.

We will communicate with you via phone calls, email and Facebook, but if you have any questions or queries then please don't hesitate to contact the school office and Mrs Proctor or Mrs Dixon will forward any messages.

Key Routines:

• PE is on a Wednesday for all Holly Class including EYFS and a Friday for Years One and Two. Please ensure the children wear black/navy bottoms and white t-shirts only.
• Brainbuilders homework for Year 1 and 2 goes out on a Friday and is to be returned by the following Thursday on a weekly basis. In addition, reading and either an English or mathematics task are to be completed.
• Sound cards and phonics sheets will be sent out every Friday for EYFS. 
• Please read with your child a minimum of three times a week, sign the log and reading records will be checked weekly for signatures.
• The children need their reading books, Read Write Inc sound cards and reading records in school every day.
