Mrs Boyd-Hope - Head of School & Year 5/6 teacher

I have been teaching now for just over 20 years! I began teaching in a private school before moving to All Saints, Sapcote where I taught EYFS and KS1 for 8 years. The opportunity then arose to become Deputy Head here at Sharnord and although it meant a jump from Year 2 to Year 5/6 I decided to apply – and haven’t regretted a day of it!

I am now Head of School here at Sharnford and the school stands for everything I believe education should offer as well as a caring and nurturing environment in which children can learn – and with excellent staff to support this!  My favourite subject to teach is literacy and that is why I co-ordinate literacy for our school.

I my spare time I love to spend time with my family; I love to read (I have a collection of over 2,000 books, which I really must thin down!), garden and visit anywhere coastal whenever I can!
