Mrs Hopkins

I'm a busy mum to two primary school boys, kittens, a pony and fish.

I have worked in schools for over 20 years, 15 of them as a qualified teacher in KS1. Following a career break, whilst looking after my children, I returned as a Learning Support Assistant working 1-1. My love of 'all things Literacy' has led to an interest in supporting Speech & Language, phonics, reading and writing intervention.

Since joining Sharnford I have become part of a fantastic team and love my job as an LSA and lunch time support. I've had great satisfaction helping develop our outside space, writing shed and playground.

Out of school I have been a school governor, I volunteer in a school library, ride (a lot), and enjoy geocaching in the countryside. There's nothing I like more than open green spaces, nature and weather, even better if it's on horseback! And (of course the children I work with will know this) I write poems, often inspired by requests from the children.
