Mrs Kirby - Family Support Worker

I have been at Sharnford Primary since 2016 and feel so lucky to be part of our inclusive school community. My role is to provide pastoral support to children, parents/carers and help with any issues or worries that they may have both at home and in school. I liaise with all school staff, always in the best interests of the children and their families, working impartially and confidentially.
I am also a trained ELSA and work with children either in small groups or as a 1:1 supporting their emotional needs and am a deputy designated safeguarding lead. Prior to joining Sharnford, I had roles in Health, Social care and educational settings.
Outside of school I am a mum of two boys, we have a passion for sport as a family and spend much of our time playing or watching sport (particularly Leicester City). I love to run (very slowly) and enjoy
spending time with friends, family and walking our two dogs. I love reading, cooking, holidays, animals, being outside and I am at my happiest when I’m having a chat!
