Welcome back! We hope that you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. 

Our topic this term in Holly Class is 'Let's explore,' and we will be learning about different places around the World including Polar regions, Kenya and China. We will be comparing these places with Sharnford. In addition, we will be exploring hot and cold, completing experiments with ice. We will also be finding out about the Chinese New Year story and how it is celebrated. 

This term our PE sessions will continue to be on Mondays and Fridays. Please send your child to school in their full PE kits. 

In phonics, we will begin to learn the Read Write Inc Set 2 sounds. The sounds we are learning will be listed on our weekly newsletter. Please continue to read with your child at least 3-4 times each week as well as practising the sounds we send home.
