Mrs Darragh - Executive Principal

I have been in education for 20 years, first as a teacher, then a deputy head, a head teacher and now as Executive Principal. Being in education is a vocation for me, not just a job. I am passionate to provide the best education possible for children and to nurture them not just just academically but also socially and emotionally too.

During my time as a teacher, I taught a variety of year groups from Reception through to Year 6. In my first few years teaching, I taught in Reception and Key Stage 1 and loved it. An opportunity came to teach in upper Key Stage 2 later on in my career and I discovered that I enjoyed that just as much! My favourite subject as a teacher and as a learner.... it has to be maths! It's a fascinating subject.

I'm currently Executive Principal of three schools - All Saints, Sharnford and Ullesthorpe CE Primary Schools. The schools work together as a 'hub'. This means that some aspects of school life may happen together, for example, training for teachers, but each school is still able to retain their individuality and serve their communities.

All three schools are part of Inspiring Primaries Academy Trust and I was one of the headteachers involved in setting up the trust. I feel very proud of our schools and our trust.

As a Christian, I have specifically chosen to lead church schools. I want to enable children and families to flourish and have seen how a distinctively Christian ethos can support that.

Out of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends. If I had to choose a day out with them, it would be somewhere with rides, or a zip wire..... I like a challenge! I also enjoy exploring new places, gardening, reading and running.
