Miss Love
Originally from a town near Glasgow, I started working as a young 18 year old in a brewery as a quality control technician, part of which was to taste beer! I moved to Birmingham nearly 30 years ago, still working in a brewery but then moved to the quality assurance department of a pharmaceutical company.
I didn’t start working at Sharnford Primary until my youngest son started school and I volunteered to hear Key Stage 1 read. Hearing them become competent readers I found very rewarding. I was asked to cover the odd lunchtime, both here and at Sapcote, which was soon made permanent at Sharnford. I was casually helping out in the classroom, helping with trips etc. so when an opportunity for working in the classroom came up I decided to go for it. I’ve only been an LSA for a couple of years, first for Miss Ellingworth and now with Mr Gray in Hazel Class. I love it especially if we’re doing maths.
